FAQs

    • Clients are required to arrive between 5 - 10 minutes before the class start time.

    • We reserve the right to offer your spot to anyone on the waitlist within 5 minutes before the class starts.

  • All clients new to Small Pilates, regardless of prior experience, must begin with our Foundation classes. These sessions introduce our signature method, helping you gain the most from every movement. Jumping into our Progression classes too soon means missing key technique. Our teachers will guide you forward as soon as you're ready - it may only be one or two sessions!

  • We understand that life happens! To help us run smoothly and offer fair access to all clients, please note our cancellation and no-show policies:

    Class Pack and Monthly Membership clients:

    • Early Cancel your booking at least 12 hours before class to keep your class credit.

    • Late Cancelations will lose the class credit.

    • No-Shows will lose the credit and incur an £8 fee.

    Unlimited Membership clients:

    • Late Cancelations within 12 hours incur a £17 fee.

    • No-shows incur a £28 fee.

    We always aim to be flexible—if something unexpected comes up, just reach out. We’ll do our best to help!

  • For the comfort, safety, and professionalism of all clients and instructors, appropriate attire is required during all classes.

    • Please wear breathable and comfortable activewear that allows full range of movement.

    • Grip socks are required for hygiene and safety.

    • Tops must be worn at all times. T-shirts, tank tops, underlayers, and sports bras that provide adequate coverage and support are all acceptable options. Training with out a top on is not allowed, regardless of gender.

    We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone.

    • We are located at 295 Mare Street, E81EJ.

    • We are less than a 5 minute walk away from Hackney Central.

    • There are bus stops outside of the studio. You can the 254, 106, 277 or 55 amongst many others.

    • We do not have bike racks. But there are plenty by Hackney Town Hall.

  • We love supporting you through every stage of your journey! For the safety of you and your baby, please read our pre/postnatal policy:

    Prenatal Clients:

    • You must be under 20 weeks to continue booking our group classes at Small.

    • If you had a regular practice before pregnancy, you may be able to join our Foundation classes. But you are required to contact the studio first to discuss.

    • We will soon be offering separate Prenatal and Postnatal classes on the schedule.

    Postnatal Clients:

    • You’ll need to be given the go ahead from your GP after your 6–8 week check-up before returning to class.

    • As every recovery is unique, please check in with us before booking so we can ensure you are booked on with the teachers best suited to you.

    • We will soon be offering separate Prenatal and Postnatal classes on the schedule.

  • We have an introductory offer, class packs and monthly membership options to give you as much flexibility with our studio as possible. Our full pricing can be found here.

    • Our class packs are one-time purchases with a set validity period.

    • Our monthly memberships have a minimum commitment period, set amount of class credits each month and a set monthly fee.

    • You can cancel your membership with a month’s notice.

    • You can put a two-week freeze on your class pack, or monthly membership per commitment period. We can certainly facilitate a longer freeze period when required, for a monthly fee of £20.
