MAT PILATES
Mat work is the purest and sneakiest expression of Pilates. With no springs or straps to help you out, your body has to do all the work, relying on strength, alignment, and mindful control. Whilst Reformer might be the trend, the reformer (and the other apparatus) is there to teach and give you feedback, so when you come back to the mat, there’s nowhere to hide. Just the satisfying moment when you realise your body actually knows how to support itself.
We’re excited to welcome mat back onto the schedule. With just 4–6 participants, the class offers a more intimate setting and plenty of focused attention. The smaller capacity also allows us to comfortably run another class at the same time, while still keeping the mat experience calm, supported, and personal.
